Dedicated to conservation, The Friends of the Porongurup Range include people of all ages who share a sense of obligation to respect and preserve the Park and Twin Creeks Community Conservation Reserve.

- Lobbyist – influences planning & development policies that affect our region
- Champion – encourages locals & visitors to participate in the defense of our environment
- Map maker – plots local habitats and plant communities
- Weedbuster – participates in the weed eradication program
- Collector – collects, mounts, labels and records plant specimens
- Auditor – surveys local biodiversity
- Purist – assists in re–vegetation with native plants
- Artist – sculpts, paints, or draws to depict natures' finest local work
- Poet – waxes lyrical about these ancient lands
- Historian – researches & records history of the Range and its people
- Shutterbug – photographs & makes journal entries of plant and animal collections
- Tree hugger – describes & photographs our impressive tree communities
- Bird watcher – records bird sightings
- Event planner – plans, coordinates and managers fund raisers and other activities
- Spinmeister – promotes & publicises projects and activities
- Computer geek – monitors www.porongurup.org.au
- Passive supporter – keep in touch with the Porongurup Range network
